Prime Objective:

Deals are the driving force to attract a customer to any brand. Wouldn’t it be great to earn up to 50% cash back on every transaction you make? Yoku aims on giving merchants a chance line this to create real time deals for their customers to enjoy!

A quick simple process where a customer looks for a deal on Yoku and claims it can be instantly redeemed at the respective store my the merchant. Great way to earn money while shopping!

YOKU - Merchant Application

The Goal is to provide merchants a way to broadcast Coupon deals to their customers even at real time. The process needs to be kept minimal as to not burden the merchants with another task besides their daily business.

Information Architecture

I began listing down all the possible elements to be included in the Yoku Merchant Application and created a skeleton architecture for the same. This helped me in seeing the entire system as a whole and also helped incase I missed out on an important element. The IA for the merchant app basically covers the major components that form the app together which are: Registration: Login | Signup | Location Setup | Profile Setup, Home: Active Deals | Scheduled Deals | Expired Deals, Redeem a Coupon & Profile Details

Customer Characterization

We aim to initially target the merchants who are need of sale increases and need to be seen digitally across all kinds of platforms. The Yoku Merchant app is open to any industry ranging from a high-end electronics store to a small book shop.

Based on an initial listing we characterized our app to be used by the following: Restaurants: Bakery, Fast food, Bars, Pubs | Clothing Store: Apparel, Shoes, Accessories | Electronics: Laptops, Computers, Phones …

INITIAL SKETCHES AND IDEATION

Once a customer claims a Coupon on the Yoku Customer App, he/she can present the QR code to the merchant. The Merchant scans the QR code and the deal is immediately applied. Depending on the Customer’s mode of payment the Merchant enters the details and the transaction is processed.

Starting the Application-

Login > Home Page > Create a Deal > Publish Sign Up > Enter OTP > Create Profile > Address Set Up > Home Page > Create a Deal > Publish

Redeeming a Customer Coupon-

Click the Redeem a Coupon icon > Allow Yoku to Access Camera > Scan QR Code > Cash / Yoku Money > Enter Bill Amount > Submit

Low Fidelity Wireframes

Using Adobe XD, I created a semi-low fidelity wireframe for the merchant app. By Semi-low I mean, I create a low fidelity wireframe consisting of a few element that fit the high fidelity profile. This gives one a jist of what to expect from the final application not only in terms of UX but also UI.

Coupons List- Consists of 3 Tabs

ACTIVE DEALS: Consists of deals that are currently running at the moment within the given time frame.
SCHEDULED DEALS: While creating a deal, the merchant has the option to schedule a deal for future use by simply giving a further date range.
EXPIRED DEALS: Coupons that expire go into the Expired deals tab. The merchant has the option to store the expired coupons to use sometime in a future use, to revive the deal again OR delete it.

Create a Coupon-

The Merchant can easily create a coupon in less than a minute and can at the moment broadcast it to the entire Yoku community. Details required to create a coupon: Coupon Name, Coupon Images, Coupon Description, Category, Number of Deals, Deal Start Date, Deal End Date, Max deals per Customer, Claim Expiration

Redeem a Customer Coupon-

Once a customer claims a Coupon on the Yoku Customer App, he/she can present the QR code to the merchant. The Merchant scans the QR code and the deal is immediately applied. Depending on the Customer’s mode of payment the Merchant enters the details and the transaction is processed.

User Profile-

The Merchant can Enter and Update business personal details such as the Profile picture, Cover picture, Name, Description, Email Address(s), Mobile number(s) and Social Media links

High Fidelity: Sign Up Process

I initially began creating high fidelity prototypes for the registration process after sketching out a few ideas. The registration screens being standard in nature wwere easy to create and it also helped me set a design sense for the rest of the application.
